What is the Micro Line Grip System?

SUBTRACTIVE FUNCTION

Through JAC’s proprietary CNC machining technology, a 0.1 mm spiral micro-texture is created on the wood surface. By changing the way the wood is carved, a new function emerges from the surface itself. It is a surface design that brings out the natural properties of wood and transforms them into function.

MICRO-ANCHOR EFFECT

By introducing microscopic irregularities to the wood surface, the number of contact points increases, allowing the wood surfaces to interlock more effectively. As an elastic material, wood flexes microscopically under load, concentrating pressure on the peaks of the MLGS texture. This increase in microscopic contact area enhances stability during balance-based tricks.

RIGHT TECH, RIGHT PLACE

The main body is finished smooth to preserve the natural feel of the wood, while specific technologies are applied only where they serve a purpose. By unlocking the material’s inherent potential, we achieve more with less. A new relationship between wood and technology, shaped by JAC KENDAMA’s commitment to “The Aesthetic of Subtraction.”
